The Australian Diabetes Society (ADS) is delighted to be hosting the 21st Immunology of Diabetes Society (IDS) Congress in Brisbane, Australia from the 20th to 26th April 2026.
The IDS Congress 2026 will be held in conjunction with the Australian Islet Study Group (AISG) Meeting. The congress will convene a high-quality program covering the most recent advances in type 1 diabetes pathogenesis, underlying mechanisms and therapeutic advances. Our goal is to create a congress that reflects the diversity of the type 1 diabetes research field. There have been significant advancements in type 1 diabetes research that are being translated to clinical practice, such that the possibility of delaying or even preventing this disease is becoming a reality. The Congress will serve as a platform for researchers and clinicians from across the globe to pursue this goal, fostering networking, discussion and collaboration. We thank members on the organising committees in preparing for what will be an exciting program. Brisbane is a vibrant, subtropical city offering a blend of natural beauty, cultural attractions and culinary delights. Extend your stay and discover our iconic beaches, unique Australian wildlife, coral reefs and rainforests.
We encourage you to submit your expression of interest via the official IDS Congress 2026 website. See the Program at a Glance.
The ADS looks forward to you joining us in Brisbane in 2026 for what promises to be an exceptional event.
